Spring is such a gorgeous time when the blooms are budding and the birds are chirping. Last week I had a very special posie request for a 70th birthday celebration. For this occasion I had the the chance to handpick stems from my spring garden. Though only a small garden I’ve managed to keep rocket, orange marigolds, mint and a bundle of cottenheads (a native WA shrub) happy and free from furry fat caterpillars. I also picked some pink and white geraldine wax flowers, another WA native that can be seen just about all over the west at this time of year. And finally a few artichoke stems to add a bit of edible-vwah-lah!
Mrs.Henly, I hope you liked this posie as much as I loved making it.
