A little bit of kim-vu
I am a Vietnamese-Australian and have grown up with influences from both my asian heritage and modern australia. My early working life was spent in the financial sector, but this never resonated well with me and during my 20s it became clear that I really loved being creative, interacting with people and making an ethical contribution to society and our wonderful natural planet. After graduating from Shillington College in Brisbane (Graphic Design Certificate IV), I worked on in-house contracts across a range of sectors, from not-for-profit and non-government organisations to manufacturing and retail business where I designed for print and some web.
And then came sunny Perth (via Barcelona) …
In 2014 I moved to Barcelona with my husband Matt. Here I continued to work as a freelance designer and also spent time at studio called Artimana where I shared a workspace with other designers. Thank you to Studio manager Gemma for the work experience opportunity. I found myself immersed in the wonderful world of screenprinting, sharing a space with Alex Costa from Print Workers Barcelona, a membership based co-working/ printing workspace. Then came Perth in 2015 where I have enjoyed connecting with my new community and living beside the Indian ocean.
What’s important to me
Building strong relationships with colleagues and client, creating a foundation for successful designs and above all making my clients happy! An affirmation of my skills and the positive contribution I can make to others who are starting out in their enterprises.
Today, you will find me freelancing at fSpace a co-working space for multi-disciplined creatives based in sunny Fremantle. If you have a project in mind, say email@example.com.
